BLUE PERSUASION EVENT ANNOUNCED
It is our honor to share with you our plans for the Third Annual Dance of Life Celebration! While we have struggled in the past, we have stepped out of the box and are notching things up to bring a truly spectacular event to Grand Rapids! I confident that THIS IS OUR YEAR! We are going ALL out by bringing in TWO national blues bands along with a great local band. We have a strong start for sponsorship for the event with several more pending!
What we have done differently;
- Bringing in TWO nationally recognized blues bands
- Add a local band for opening
- Utilizing a professional media company
- Networking with more media for greater coverage & sponsorship
- Utilizing a professional ticketing service
- Boosting our sponsorship package to gain superior sponsorships
- Moving to a larger venue
- Moved our date as not to compete with larger venues (Coast Guard Festival, etc.)
Additionally, we request each organization having someone attend to represent your organization and to speak at the event. This will also show our community a united front in conjunction with your individual events. Tickets are now LIVE on our website www.bluepersuasion.or/events through Star Tickets Plus and all Meijer stores. We are exceptionally proud to help you on any level and hope this is a TRUE turning point for Blue Persuasion and our mssion to serve you.

Thirsting to Serve Approves Club Grants
(3/18/08) The Thirsting to Serve Board of Directors met Monday, 17 March to review grant requests. The Board affirmed a grant to Elk Rapids (MI) Rotary Club for their project in India. The Board also reviewed a grant request from Coopersville (MI) Rotary Club to support a project in La Vega, Dominican Republic for 201 Bio-sand Water filters. The grant request was approved.
Economics of Water and Sanitation
“Effective water resource management requires that water be treated as an economic good. The 1992 Dublin Statement stipulates that "water has an economic value in all its competing uses and should be recognized as an economic good".
